AFL Hyperscale Presents Grants to Washington-based Organizations

Kent, WA – AFL Hyperscale, a manufacturer of end-to-end connectivity solutions for data center, telecom and enterprise networks, presented $2,500 in grants to two local organizations, Vision House and Northwest Harvest. The grants are part of AFL’s Community Outreach Program which supports social service programs for children and STEM education.

The first $1,250 grant was presented to Vision House, an organization that helps families move from crisis and trauma of homelessness to stability and self-sufficiency. The life skills support provided at Vision House gives families a place to rebuild their lives and learn new life skills. This grant is supporting Vision House’s transitional housing program, which provides quality youth and family advocacy, coordinating life skills support and a strong focus on health.

The second $1,250 grant was presented to Northwest Harvest to support its Year-round Children’s Nutrition Initiative. This initiative addresses child hunger and school readiness and will serve at least 11,000 children this year. Northwest Harvest partners with 50 schools during the school year and 19 food banks in the summer to provide meals to children at risk of hunger. The backpack program allows children to receive appealing, nutritious food even during the weekends and summer.

AFL has an extensive Community Outreach Program that provides grants, sponsorships, associate engagement projects, disaster relief and more. For additional information on AFL and its community initiatives, visit www.AFLglobal.com.
