AFL Introduces the FlowScout® MPO OLTS Optical Loss Test Set, Raising the Bar for Data Center Turn-Up
AFL, a global leader in providing end-to-end solutions for the energy, service provider, enterprise, hyperscale and industrial markets, announces the launch of FlowScout® MPO OLTS, industry's first 16-fiber MPO Tier I Certifier.
The FlowScout MPO OLTS addresses the testing requirements for AI-driven hyperscale data centers. As data rates have increased, the adoption of fiber infrastructure based on 16-fibers has become the standard. FlowScout MPO OLTS is the first and only OLTS tester that supports testing a 16-fiber link in a single, simple 6-second test. Current MPO OLTS testers have been optimized for testing 12-fiber links, and thus require 2 tests to complete a 16-fiber link test.
"AFL has always been at the forefront of fiber optic innovation," said Al Swanson, VP and Chief of Staff of Connectivity and Equipment. "Our data center customers demand innovative technology to help them speed up their fiber installation and our FlowScout OLTS delivers this, offering significantly faster test times.”
The FlowScout MPO OLTS supports various test configurations, including MPO-16, MMC-16, MPO-12/MPO- connectors. The FlowScout is also the only MPO tester that can test Duplex LC connectors, that eliminates the need to deploying a separate single-fiber tester.
Designed with a user-friendly interface, the FlowScout MPO OLTS is equipped a large color touchscreen and an icon-driven user interface. With its advanced reporting capabilities, the FlowScout MPO OLTS allows users to store testing results and transfer them via Bluetooth or USB for comprehensive cloud-based analysis using AFL’s FlexReporter™ Software Suite.
Ideal for high-density installations and AI-centric data centers, the FlowScout MPO OLTS will revolutionize the way fiber networks are tested, providing a streamlined, efficient and highly reliable solution.
