Carlos Escobar

Carlos Escobar is the Mid-Atlantic Regional Sales Manager for AFL. He is currently responsible for promoting all AFL products and services in the utility space including IOUs and Public Power. Carlos joined AFL in 1998 when he relocated from Colombia, South America where he earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering. Prior to joining AFL, Carlos worked with a Colombian engineering consulting firm offering SCADA and communications design for local utility companies. Before his current sales position at AFL, Carlos served as applications engineer manager and was responsible for the design and development for aerial fiber optic cables including ADSS and OPGW. Carlos also covered international territories and traveled to South America, the Middle East, Russia, and India. Carlos’s most significant accomplishments in this role was to be a contributor for the creation of the AFL’s Specialty Fiber Cable Business to serve the oil and gas market and the development of the Follow the Power concept.
