AFL’s President and CEO Jody Gallagher Named to Greenville’s 50 Most Influential

Spartanburg, S.C. – January 3, 2023 | President and CEO of AFL Jody Gallagher named to Greenville Business Magazine’s 50 Most Influential for 2022. Greenville Business Magazine will officially release the full list of names in their January issue.

Greenville Business Magazine has been recognizing men and women in the Greenville area business community for their impact. The Most Influential is a list of 50 people selected from nominations by the community. 

“I am honored to be selected as one of Greenville’s most influential people for the class of 2022,” said Gallagher. “I love this community and it’s a true privilege to be recognized alongside so many incredible people who have lasting impacts on this area.”

Since 2003 Jody Gallagher has served as President and CEO of AFL, headquartered in Duncan, S.C., with over 7,000 employees worldwide. For the last four years, he has been a member of the board of directors for AFL’s parent company, Fujikura, headquartered in Tokyo.  

A very involved member of Spartanburg and Greenville counties, Jody supports several organizations including the Upstate SC Alliance and United Way. He has participated in Habitat for Humanity Greenville County's CEO Build program, and served on the board for the South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics Foundation. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for St. Joseph's Catholic School and Apella Health; the Board of Directors for Vitruvi and Wordplay Networks; and Clemson University's President's Advisory Board. Jody was honored with United Way of the Piedmont’s Chairman’s Award in 2011 and was selected as one of the 2015 Ambassador for Economic Development for South Carolina.
