RESULTS
Upon completion of the projects our customer has a solution that interconnects the dams with the power station that allows constant monitoring
and video links with the plant operatives. Connectivity provided is super‐fast, modern and reliable, providing the desired Smart metering control
as per customer's specific request. The minimum expected life time of solution installed is 30 years!
All solutions have been engineered to suit this specific project and SkyWrap equipment was tailored to account for light-weight conductor to
wrap on, ADSS cable was engineered to enable safe installation tensions and correct sagging, duct was engineered to allow a level of rodent
protection, and safe operation in a damp and wet environment.
The complete installation with full connectivity took 34 days and was delivered through cooperation with two sub‐contractors managed by the
AFL project management team.
All critical time scales, power outage, electricity production stop, fiber testing and line commissioning was delivered within the agreed timescales
and current operation of fiber network within this power plant runs smoothly and with no disruptions (both on ground and under the ground).
